Who we are
Meet New Brands is a free editorial platform for new businesses. Operator details are listed in our colofon.
What we collect
- Story pitches: business name, website, your name, email address, country, category, your story and any links you add.
- Product submissions: product and business name, category, summary, description, website and email address.
- Correction requests: your name, email address, the page concerned and your message.
- Spam protection: a one-way scrambled version of your IP address, used only to limit repeated submissions.
Why we use it
To review what you send us, to reply to you about it, and, if we publish your story or listing, to show the public details you agreed to publish. Your email address and contact name are never shown publicly. We do not use your details for advertising and we do not sell or share them with third parties, apart from the hosting provider that stores our website data on our behalf.
How long we keep it
- Declined pitches and product submissions are deleted 12 months after our decision.
- Published stories and listings stay online until you ask us to remove them.
- Correction requests are kept only as long as needed to handle them.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details at any time, or ask us to remove a published story or listing. Use our correction and removal form and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
Cookies
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting provider may record basic, anonymous visit statistics to keep the site running.
