European startups that raised money this week (28 September to 2 October 2026)
Construction software in Berlin, satellite tracking in London, AI sales agents in Manchester, a wound therapy in Umeå and an eye drug in Denmark: five young European companies that announced funding this week.
Between 28 September and 2 October 2026, young European startups raised money for everything from construction paperwork to tracking satellites. This roundup covers five of them: Kuro (Berlin), Foundational (London), Revnu (Manchester), Omnio (Umeå) and Breye Therapeutics (Denmark), with what they do and what they raised, based on public announcements.
Kuro: AI for the back office of construction companies
Kuro, from Berlin, builds AI software that helps general contractors work through project documents and run back-office tasks such as estimating, procurement, accounting and compliance. Founded in November 2024 by Lea Scherer and Jonas Minkler, it has 16 employees and counts large German contractors such as Goldbeck and Hochtief Infrastructure among its customers. Foundational: tracking satellites to the millimetre
Foundational, from London, builds automated satellite laser ranging stations that measure the position of satellites and space debris with millimetre precision, for uses such as space traffic control and navigation. It was founded in 2025 by Hira Virdee and Dave Gooding, building on technology from Virdee's earlier company Lumi Space. On 1 October 2026 it came out of stealth with a 9.6 million euro pre-seed round from investors including Inflection and BACKED. Website: foundational.space. Source: EU-Startups.
Revnu: AI agents that find customers
Revnu, from Manchester, runs AI agents across LinkedIn, TikTok and Instagram to run campaigns, find leads and book meetings for businesses. Founded in 2026 by George Jefferson and Art Freebrey, it announced 2.6 million euro (3 million dollars) on 1 October 2026, led by NPIF II through PXN Ventures, with Y Combinator also investing. Omnio: a new treatment for wounds that will not heal
Omnio, from Umeå in Sweden, develops a plasminogen-based treatment for chronic wounds such as diabetic foot ulcers, based on research by Professor Tor Ny at Umeå University. Led by CEO Felipe Velasquez, it announced an oversubscribed 2.9 million euro round from existing investors on 2 October 2026, and plans clinical trials in 2027. Website: omnio.se. Breye Therapeutics: a pill for early diabetic eye disease
Breye Therapeutics, from Denmark, develops oral medicines for early-stage retinal diseases, starting with diabetic retinopathy. Founded in 2019 and led by CEO Ulrik Mouritzen, it announced an oversubscribed 67.5 million euro Series A led by Mission BioCapital and Novo Holdings on 2 October 2026, to take its lead candidate into Phase 2 trials planned for 2027.
