CIOC Energy: keeping solar panels and batteries working

CIOC Energy runs a platform to monitor, control and trade energy from solar panels and batteries. Founded in September 2023 and led by CEO Alexander De Bièvre, it manages more than 100 business sites directly and about 2,000 home batteries through its partner CleverNett. Spott (Leuven): an AI-native system for recruitment agencies

Spott combines an applicant tracking system and a CRM into one AI-native platform for recruitment agencies. Founded in 2024 by Lander Degreve, Manu Vanderveeren and Samuel Smeys, it raised an 18.3 million euro Series A led by Balderton Capital, announced on 22 September 2026. Website: spott.io. Chift (Brussels): one API for 120+ financial systems

Chift lets software companies connect to more than 120 accounting, invoicing, point-of-sale, e-commerce and payment systems through a single API. It serves more than 150 software companies and raised a 10.5 million euro Series A led by BlackFin Capital Partners, announced on 14 September 2026. Website: chift.eu. Source: EU-Startups.

Backbone (Brussels): an AI operating system for food quality teams

Backbone connects supplier tracking, document control, incident management and compliance analysis for food companies in one system. Founded by Louis Opsomer, Siska Lannoo and Julien Steel, it raised a 4 million euro pre-seed round led by Pitchdrive, announced on 3 September 2026. Website: usebackbone.ai. Source: EU-Startups.

Companion.energy (Ghent): real-time energy management for large companies

Companion.energy helps large industrial and commercial companies manage energy across their sites and markets in real time. Founded in 2022 by Thomas Vyncke and Jonas Verstraeten, it serves more than 30 enterprise customers in Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland, and passed 1 million euro in annual recurring revenue. Vectrix (Antwerp): automating transport orders

Vectrix automates the manual entry of transport orders for logistics companies, working as a layer in front of their transport management system. It says it cuts order processing from 8 minutes to at most 2, and has processed more than 25,000 orders. Founded in 2024 by Dimitri Allaert and Ben Selleslagh, it raised a 1.15 million euro seed round led by RDY Ventures, announced on 5 March 2026. Website: vectrix.ai. Source: EU-Startups.
