Peaky wants finance teams to spot business changes before they hit the numbers
The Ghent fintech raised €1.1 million to help finance teams detect business changes early, understand their impact and act before surprises show up in the results.

Ghent-based fintech Peaky is rethinking financial planning by helping finance teams detect business changes early, understand their financial impact, and act before surprises show up in the numbers.
Why financial planning needs to change
For most companies, financial planning is still a periodic exercise. Budgets are built, forecasts are updated, and by the time a problem becomes visible in the financial results, the opportunity to act may already have passed.
Peaky takes a different approach. Its AI-powered FP&A platform connects financial and operational systems, including accounting, CRM, HR and billing tools, to build a continuously connected financial model. Finance teams can automate budgeting, forecasting, reporting and scenario planning, replacing manual spreadsheet work with a more efficient, driver-based approach.
The Signal Engine
But Peaky's real differentiator is its Signal Engine. Rather than waiting for financial results to reveal a problem, it monitors internal and external business signals, identifies changes in underlying assumptions and calculates their potential financial impact. Whether it's rising customer churn, slowing sales, changing costs or shifting market conditions, Peaky helps finance teams understand what's happening and what it could mean for the months ahead.
Who is behind Peaky?
Founded in Ghent by Ser Cappelle, Guus De Graeve, Willem Vos and John-Alexander Kolmus, Peaky combines deep experience in finance with more than a decade of building technology products together. The idea grew out of Cappelle's experience as a CFO, where he repeatedly encountered the same frustration: the business changes every day, but finance often finds out last.
€1.1 million to grow
In 2026, Peaky secured €1.1 million in funding led by JK Invest, with participation from imec.istart, Super Capital and a group of Belgian angel investors. The investment supports further product development, team expansion and international growth.
Peaky's ambition is to become the intelligent financial backbone of modern businesses, moving finance beyond explaining what happened towards understanding what's changing and anticipating what comes next.
